1ft Wide Records was established by Mr Ki around 8 years ago as an outlet for him and his cohorts’ hip hop, dub, downtempo and jazz flavoured recordings and can be found at www.1ftwide.blogspot.com - well worth a trip over there…

The radio station has been around for about 3years and my involvement started at the beginning of 2008, after a few months of ‘persuasion’ Mr. Ki, who wanted a reggae show for the radio station and he thought with my vast reggae collection and knowledge I’d be the man to do it.

It’s been a privilege to be able to play my favourite tunes and give you relevant info about them. The vast majority of the tunes played are from the 1960’s with ska, rocksteady and skinhead reggae making up the bulk of my playlists. 2Tone plays a big part in proceedings as well. Roots, culture and lover’s rock also feature.

I started this year with the 1st of 2 shows celebrating 30 years of 2Tone and the reaction to the show has been overwhelming. So wether you listened to the live broadcast or downloaded the show, I thank you very much. Part 2 is on it’s way.

2009 is also the 40th anniversary of the Spirit Of 69. 40 years of original skinhead and we will celebrate that with 2 shows dedicated to the anniversary.
